河南省灵宝县车峪沟李村,人均泡桐27株、果树23株,其他用材树125株。群众说,树木是‘好栽,难管’,怕树木丢失,怕别人损坏,怕牛羊啃踏。为了管护好林木,李村在1984年成立了“林木保险公司”。由一名村干部负责,经群众推选和本人自愿,把热爱林业、有事业心、办事公道的36人聘为护林员。划片包树,设置专人管护。护林员每月基本工资45元(比村干部的补助还多)。
