2010年12月3日,余姚市公共文化服务中心正式挂牌成立,把文化出版、广播电视、报社、文联等部门的公共文化服务职能进行有机统筹,具体承担公共文化服务组织配送、文体活动策划和文体资源开发利用等任务,常年通过“阳光文化直通车”的形式,将戏剧、歌舞、综艺等文化产品配送到余姚各个乡镇(街道)、村(社区),打造“阳光社区剧场”、“乡村文化舞台”等平台,为余姚的城乡群众配送文艺演出、知识讲座、体育健身等节目。
