春秋战国时期,随着“俗乐”的发展,社会各阶层都开始逐渐重视这一事物。这一时期关于歌唱教学理论和歌唱艺术理论方面的材料虽然并不多见,但有些零散的重要记载保留在《乐记》和《韩非子》之中。从中可以看出,春秋战国时期已经开始注意到如何在教学中鉴别初学者的发声条件,如何进行严格的歌唱训练,如何使受教者掌握正确的发声规则和根据演唱者不同的性格来选择与之相适应的歌唱曲目等等。知识阶层已经开始注意到当时兴盛的歌曲演唱实践活动,并能作出简练而深刻的归纳和总结。
