概念是思维的基本形式之一,反映客观事物一般的、本质的特征。这种反映是借助于有形的材料——语词得以表现的,而一个语词之所以有意义,也正是因为它表达了一定的思想内容,并以概念的形式作用于人们的思维。然而,概念与语词的运用并非重合,因为有的语词不能表达概念,有的语词可以表达不同的概念,不同的语词还能表达相同的概念。如此,某个语词究竟表达何种概念,这就要涉及到这个语词所处的特定语境,并受这特定语境的制约。
Concept is one of the basic forms of thinking, reflecting the general, essential characteristics of objective things. This reflection is manifested by the help of tangible material words, and a word is meaningful because it expresses a certain amount of thought and acts on the thinking of people in the form of concept. However, the concept and the use of words are not coincident, because some words can not express concepts, some words can express different concepts, different words can also express the same concept. In this way, what kind of concept is expressed by a certain word depends on the specific context in which the term is located and is subject to the specific context.
