格莱斯(Grice)的会话含义理论具有雄厚的哲学理论根源,表达简易明了,便于理解与应用,具有普遍性。但对它的肯定并不代表忽视它的不足之处。本文以跨文化中的经典理论,如个体主义-集体主义(Individualism-Collectivism)理论及高语境(HC)和低语境(LC)理论等,结合CP中的四个准则,分析对话。阐述Grice会话合作原则(CP)在汉语文化中运用的特殊性,证明在CP的运用上确实存在文化差异,以揭示会话合作原则(CP)并非适用于所有文化体。
Grice’s theory of conversational implicature has a strong philosophical foundation, which is simple and easy to understand and apply. It is universal. However, its affirmation does not mean neglect its inadequacies. This article analyzes the dialogue based on the four theories of CP, including classical theories of interculturalism, such as individualism-collectivism theory and high context (HC) and low context (LC) theory. Explaining the particularity of Grice’s Cooperative Principle (CP) in Chinese culture proves that cultural differences exist in the use of CP in order to reveal that the CP is not applicable to all cultures.
