江泽民同志指出:“创新是一个民族的灵魂,是一个国家兴旺发达的不竭动力。”随着改革开放的不断深入和社会主义市场经济的逐步完善,我国已进入一个全面创新时期。新形势、新任务也给思想政治工作提出了创新要求。思想政治工作如何适应新形势在内容、形式、方法、手段和机制等方面大胆创新,是摆在我们面前的一个重要课题。 一、思想政治工作创新,必须坚持以科学理论为指导。 思想政治工作,就是要用科学的理论,正确的立场、观点和方法,来提高人们的思想觉悟,统一人们的思想和行动,以增强人们认识世界和改造世界的能力。科学理论的重要意义就在于能够指导人们的活动。马克思主义关于物质与精神、经济与政治、社会存在与社会意识相互关系的科学原理,以及恩格斯对人们思想和行为活动规律的深刻揭示,是我们党创建思想政治工作的基本理论依据。

The new situation and new tasks have also put forward innovative requirements for ideological and political work. How the Ideological and Political Work Adapts to the New Situation and Make Bold Innovations in Content, Form, Method, Means and Mechanism, etc. are an important issue before us. First, the ideological and political work of innovation, we must adhere to the guidance of scientific theory. Ideological and political work means using scientific theories, correct positions, opinions and methods to enhance people’s ideological consciousness and unify people’s thinking and actions so as to enhance people’s ability to understand and transform the world. The significance of scientific theory lies in its ability to guide people’s activities. The scientific principles of Marxism on the interrelationship between material and spiritual, economic and political, social existence and social awareness, as well as Engels’ deep revelation of the laws of people’s thinking and behavior, are the basic theoretical bases for our party’s creation of the ideological and political work.
