石家话是侗台语族台语支北部方言的一个方言。石家人自称thrk8,相传是两三百年前从越南迁徙到现居住地,分布在泰国与老挝交界的那坤巴农(NAKHON PANOM)省安普区(AMPHOE MUANG)的阿撒马特(AtSamat)村。该村座落在那坤巴农市北部六公里处的湄公河边。据说那坤巴农省的其他地方也有零星石家人散居。另外,在老挝境内也有几个村庄使用石家话。 Shijia dialect is a dialect of the northern dialect of the Taiwanese dialect.
