塞种在公元前2世纪已为汉文明所知,较早见于《汉书·西域传》;萨迦见于古波斯铭文;斯基泰见于希罗多德《历史》及其他希腊古典作家的著述。塞种、萨迦、斯基泰都是古代诸文明中心对欧亚草原一带游牧民族的称谓。受考古学、语言学等的启发,学者们提出了广义塞种的概念,即塞种、萨迦、斯基泰泛指欧亚草原的游牧民族,他们具有相同的内涵。
Cypriot species were known to the Han civilization in the 2nd century BC and were earlier seen in the Han and Western Regions Biography; Sakya found in the ancient Persian inscriptions; and Skye in the writings of Herodotus “History” and other Greek classical writers . Cypriot species, Sakya, Skettu are ancient civilizations center on the Eurasian steppe nomadic title. Inspired by archeology and linguistics, scholars have proposed the concept of generalized plugging, ie, plugging, Sakya, and Skittu, referring to the nomadic peoples in the Eurasian steppe. They share the same connotation.
