留守儿童是城镇化和工业化初期的必然结果。宜丰县经过几年的不断探索,留守儿童基本形成了生活有着落、学习有人管、思想有人教、心理有人疏导的格局,建立了“党政主导、部门参与、学校为主、家庭尽责、社会联动”的留守儿童教育管护长效机制。4700名留守儿童(留守儿童占义务教育阶段3.18万学生总数的15%左右)享受到了党和政府的关爱和社会大家庭的温暖。有效地解决了“家庭教育缺位”“父母关爱缺失”“沟通交流缺少”和“有效监护缺乏”的问题。著名节目主持人敬一丹为此到宜丰做专题采访,并在中央一套《新闻联播》中作为重点新闻予以播出。我们的主要做法是:
