本文从分析资本主义生产方式的基本特征入手,说明资本主义基本矛盾构成对资本主义发展的限制,而资本主义经济则是力求开辟新的空间突破这种限制,当新的空间被资本开发殆尽时就会出现严重的全局性危机。文章回顾了20世纪资本主义通过资本输出、国家干预、经济金融化等几个阶段突破基本矛盾的限制,而资本主义基本矛盾又通过30年代大危机与世界战争、70年代滞胀和当前的金融危机一次次对资本主义发展构成新限制。文章认为当前危机是自70年代以后资本主义经济金融化发展空间开发殆尽的结果。今后,资本主义只有找到新空间才能获得新一轮发展。
