太阳能集能器自动跟踪装置采用了光电自动控制的原理与技术。当信号探测器接收到太阳光线发生偏转的信号后,传给电子自动控制电路;通过模数转换对信号进行分析,给出指令,电机通过减速机构转动集能器,使其精确地对准太阳,从而实现了对太阳方位角和太阳高度角的二维自动跟踪,大大地提高了太阳能利用率。
