In Berlin, there is a unique monuments, called “memory church ”. It was originally the largest gothic cathedral in the city center, majestic, luxurious and beautiful. However, in the Second World War, it fled to bad luck and suffered the destruction of artillery. The body was scarred, the spire was cut off, the gable collapsed and the back half completely disappeared. Only clock on the clock forever freeze in the moment, recorded an unforgettable record in history. After the war ended, people disagreed on the future prospects of the ancient church, and the two opinions advocating the dismantling and favoring the reservation were diametrically opposed. The municipality decided to hold a referendum, and as a result most citizens agreed to keep it. How should we protect such a monumental site that has suffered serious damage? After careful consideration, the authorities and the public reached a consensus on the principle of maintenance: they will never be repaired, they will be preserved as they are and what will they be destroyed if they are destroyed? Looks like, always reminds people not to forget history lessons.
