本雅明在《机械复制时代的艺术作品》中指出,机械复制时代的艺术已与传统艺术有了本质区别,这种区别在于传统艺术光晕的凋萎和消逝。艺术的机械复制技术使得艺术的崇拜价值让位于展览价值,改变了艺术为少数人专有的局面,大众参与艺术从而成为可能。对艺术品机械复制的过程,便是机械复制反映新东西的过程。这一过程中,艺术品的灵晕渐趋凋萎以致完全消逝,机械复制时代的艺术便以这种破坏性的方式宣告了和传统艺术的分野。
Benjamin pointed out in “The Works of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction,” that the art of the era of mechanical reproduction has been fundamentally different from the traditional art, the difference being the withering and disappearance of the glow of traditional art. The art of mechanical copying has made the value of art devalue the value of exhibitions, changed the art to the minority and the public has become involved in art. The process of copying mechanical works of art is the process of mechanical copying reflecting new things. In the process, the spirit of the artwork gradually wilted and disappeared completely, and the art of the era of mechanical reproduction declared its separation from the traditional art in such a destructive way.
