翘嘴红舶生活在湖泊、水库、河流等水域的中上层,行动迅速,性情凶猛,以捕食其它小型鱼类为食。其肉质细腻,营养丰富,肉味鲜嫩,为鱼中上品。在池塘养殖中具有食性杂、生长快、个体大、适温范围广、病害少、市场价格高等优点,是近几年养殖的热门品种之一。但各地养殖效果差异较大,池塘养殖成鱼亩产50-300 kg,亩效益500 -2500元不等。为进一步做好翘嘴红鲌养殖推广工作,笔者根据近几年的养殖实践,将翘嘴红鲌池塘养殖的主要技术总结如下:
