In the first half of 2009, the government took such favorable measures as increasing the scale of subsidies for agricultural machinery purchase and provided a huge stimulating effect on the farm machinery market. According to the statistics of the National Bureau of Statistics, the total industrial output value of agricultural machinery enterprises in the first half of 2009 was 112.839 billion yuan, an increase of 22.34% over the same period of last year; the industrial sales value of completed products reached 110.485 billion yuan, up 23.69% over the same period of last year. Among them, a total of 172,407 large and medium-sized tractors were produced across the country, an increase of 31.86% over the same period of last year;
