This issue of “The Sad Story of ADramatic Critic” depicts in an overly exaggerated manner an unpretentious young man who has given himself up under the influence of the drama at the time, eventually ending up with his girlfriend And broke up with him. Interestingly, there is no effort to describe the performance of theatrical novels in the whole novel, but readers can really feel the clumsy performances of theatrical performances through the author’s description of the hero’s every move. And the problem is not merely the irony of theatrical performances, for this disgusting poser is precisely the derivative of the manner in which the gentry and ladies of the upper class in England were behaving. Wells in this novel with a spicy tone ridiculed the hypocrisy of the upper class.
