Severe and long-term hypoglycemic episodes can cause a wide range of neurological disorders. The clinical manifestations of a variety of and suggestive, often dramatic disappear, often to clinical diagnosis caused some difficulties, often misdiagnosed as hysteria, epilepsy, mental illness, paralytic dementia, brain tumors and encephalitis. Most of these symptoms can be quickly improved or disappeared after proper treatment, but long-term hypoglycemia in the neonatal period can cause permanent nerve damage. Therefore, to correctly understand the disease, early diagnosis, is very important. Causes of hypoglycemia are many causes of etiology, Marks (1972) statistics of more than 100 kinds of disorders can cause hypoglycemia. See the table on the right.
