重庆钢铁公司新建的天然气工程,已于九月中旬竣工,下旬正式在一座小型平炉上进行了天然气炼钢的工业性生产试验。经过第一阶段的试验证明,效果良好,火焰温度提高了80-100℃,空气格子房的温度提高了50-70℃,煤气格子房温度提高100-150℃。炉料熔化期显著的缩短,完全消灭了过去精炼期等温加矿和等温出钢现象。由于出钢温度合适,钢锭表面质量也有很大提高,钢的成本也降低了,仅燃料费一项,每座炉子每天降低成本约480元。目前,他们使用天然气的方法是:将天然气与发生炉煤气混合使用,混合比为35-40%,天然气用拉瓦尔喷嘴
