新的儒学信仰,应当继承了儒家本源精神,又没有蒙昧和落后;它属于全体人民,又不像古时儒学信仰的等级森严。新时代下的儒学信仰,应当是自发清新,符合“大儒精神”的。蔡元培先生说过:“以儒学的美育代替它的宗教规范”。孔颖达也说:“《诗》《书》《礼》《乐》之谓,当法此教而化成天下也。”这就使儒家的人文关怀带上了浓厚的人心化育色彩,既关注人的价值取向和规范,也提出了对于人道的教化。而它借助于礼乐诗书等具体的形式,实现知识、艺术与道德的有机融合,有着朴素而可升华的特点。这对于“大儒精神”的建立,增强对儒学的信仰有着极为重要的意义。
