[Press Release] The provincial government held a working conference on modern forestry demonstration area construction in urban and rural areas in Suzhou and Wuxi in Zhangjiagang City on March 11, 1998 to mobilize and deploy on-site. Vice governor, director of the provincial Greening Committee Jiang Yongrong made an important speech at the meeting. Vice Governor Jiang pointed out that the provincial party committee and the provincial government decided to establish the modern forestry demonstration system in urban and rural areas of Suzhou and Wuxi based on the strategy of sustainable economic and social development in the province.
