This article describes the use of three basic bottom electrode formats ─ ─ Conductive Refractories (ABB), Air-cooled Multi-contact Probes (MAN-GHH and NKK) and VoestAlpine, and one or several water-cooled steel bars Nippon Steel) DC EAF bottom electrode technology.
