建筑业是海门市的传统产业、支柱产业、形象产业和富民产业。2010年海门市建筑业在全省同行业中率先实现快速复苏和持续扩张。全年实现建安产值532.83亿元,比上年增长26.70%,高出全省平均增长率8个百分点;综合实力继续保持全省领先;获得国优工程奖3项、詹天佑奖2项。回顾“十一五”海门建筑业由全省“建筑大市”向“建筑强市”的发展历程,海门市坚持把建筑业作为优先发展的基础工作来抓,促进了建筑产业的又好又快发展;展望“十二五”建筑业发展远景,海门市将向全国一流建筑强市迈进,努力在“十二五”期末形成建安产值超千亿的产业群。
