The general problems involved in establishing the mathematical model of ESR chemical reaction based on the stoichiometry of various reactions are discussed. In particular, the difficulties encountered when using a simplified reaction graph are described. For example, as many as eight independent reactions in the exchange of Mn / FeO / Fe / MnO, which underlie the simulation system, need to be balanced at the same time . The chart describing this system has been developed and has been used to predict the ingot and slag composition associated with Si / SiO 2 / Al / Al 2 O 3 exchange reactions. The results are in good agreement with the actual electroslag process of φ200 ~ 1500mm ingots, as well as the observed results with deoxidation of Ca and Al.
