综合高中是美国的独创,被视为最具美国特点的学校。综合高中的核心追求是公平与民主,它是美国社会促进教育机会均等理想的重要体现和工具。但经过多年的发展,综合高中的公平和民主理想并未得以真正实现,从教育起点、过程和结果的公平这三个维度来审视综合高中,有助于我们更为深入地认识综合高中理想与现实之间的张力。
Comprehensive high school is the original of the United States, is considered the most American characteristics of the school. The core pursuit of comprehensive high school is equity and democracy, which is an important manifestation and tool of the ideal of promoting equal opportunity for education in American society. However, after many years of development, the comprehensive high school’s fairness and democratic ideal have not really been realized. Examining the comprehensive high school from the three dimensions of education starting point, process and fairness of result can help us understand more deeply the ideals of comprehensive high school, The tension between reality.
