中国科学院植物研究所北京植物园主任俞德浚主编的《华北习见观赏植物》第二集,去年年底已由科学出版社发行。这是第一集的续篇,经过了几年,它终于和读者见面了,全书至此亦拟暂告一段落。在全面介绍观赏植物书籍较少的今天,我们对于本书的出版,感到十分高兴。 这一集的内容和第一集近似,也包括了观赏树木、一二年生草花、宿根和球根花卉以及温室花卉四大类。在每类之中各提出常见而较易栽培的观赏植物25种,合共100种。在每种之后,又简介了一些同属的近似种类,以供引种栽培的参考。这样,两集共系统介绍了华北习见观赏植物200种;若连简介的种类合计,则总数已在1,000种以上。应当说,这样一部内容丰富、包罗很广的专书,对于园林绿化工作者、花卉生产者、有关科学研究人员和师生以及花卉业余爱好者,都是很有用处的。 本书的特点在其系统而扼要地把华北主要的观赏植物作一全面介绍,包括了它们的常用中名、别名、学名(有时还包括常用的异名)、俄名、英名、所隶科属名称、植物形态特征、变种和品种、原产地、生态习性、主要物候期、繁植栽培技术、园林应用以及特殊经济用途等,最后并附学名释意。书末还附一华北习见观赏植物总名录,按科属次序排列,附记集数、种类编号、植物习性以及花色、花期等项,颇便读者 Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Botanical Garden Director Yu Dejun editor of the “North accredited ornamental plants,” the second episode, by the end of last year by the Science Press.
