王晋康,男,汉族,1948年11月24日生于河南南阳。中国民主同盟盟员,民盟南阳市委副主委。中国科普作协会员,河南作协会员。1966年高中毕业适逢“文化大革”劫难,1968年下乡,在新野五龙公社度过了3年知青生涯后,于1971年到云阳钢厂杨沟树铁矿当木模工,1974年调入南阳柴油机厂。1978年以优异成绩考入西安交通大学内燃机专业,毕业分配到南阳油田石油机械厂至今。曾任该厂研究所副所长,高级工程师,主持研制的大型修井机自走式底盘和沙漠修井机底盘达到国内和国际先进水平,获部级科技进步奖。1993年因10岁娇儿逼迫讲故事而偶然闯入科幻文坛,处女作《亚当回归》即获1993年全国科幻征文的首奖。迄今已发表短篇小说《生命之歌》、《生死平衡》、《七重外壳》、《天火》、《豹》、《西奈噩梦》、《人与狼》等三十余部,另有《癌人》、《拉格朗日墓场》等四部长篇小说即将出版,共计两百余万字。蝉联1993-1998年全国科幻文学评奖的特等奖和一等奖,并荣获1997年国际科幻大会颁发的银河奖。其作品沉郁苍凉,既融会了丰富的科学知识,也有对宇宙及生命的哲思睿见。
