Internet 连续3年以10倍速度增长,大量企业网用户从专用数据网向公网转移,现有1.5亿网上用户且业务量不断增加,而用户数的发展更无法预测。此外,越来越多的用户需要高速接入,已经有很多用户使用快速 modem、128Kbps 的ISDN、Cable modem、卫星以及 xDSL 等高速按入方式,这些需求的发展导致了网络瓶颈、服务器过载、网上应用等待时间过长等诸多问题,迫切要求提高骨干网和骨干节点的容量。传统的路由技术已经无法满足这些需要,高速路由器应时而出,作为未来骨干网的良好解决方案而倍受瞩目。
The Internet has been growing 10 times in three consecutive years. A large number of enterprise network users have migrated from dedicated data networks to the public network. There are 150 million online users and their business volume is constantly increasing, while the development of users is even more unpredictable. In addition, more and more users need high-speed access, and many users are already using fast modems, 128Kbps ISDN, Cable Modems, satellites and xDSL high-speed push-in mode. These demands led to network bottlenecks, server overload, Application waiting time is too long and many other issues, it is urgent to improve the backbone network and backbone node capacity. The traditional routing technology has been unable to meet these needs, high-speed routers emerge as a good solution for the future backbone network and much attention.
