Schubert is one of the representatives of the transition from classicism to romanticism in the history of Western music. His piano sonata has always been regarded as an example of a combination of classical sonata and romantic music. This paper mainly focuses on Schubert’s inheritance and ingenuity of traditional sonata by using his “Motto” processing technique as the first movement in “Piano Sonata in B Major”.
