陈少白是孙中山先生的亲密战友和结义兄弟,辛亥革命的先驱者之一。1869年8月27日,陈少白生于新会外海乡(今属江门市外海区)一个士大夫家庭。少年时代的陈少白,深受叔父陈梦南的影响。陈梦南主张教会摆脱外国势力而自立,1873年,陈梦南在部分广州教徒和美洲华侨的资助下成立粤东广肇华人宣道会,开华人自办教会之先河。当时,陈梦南从广州带回西学书籍,陈少白爱不释手,萌生变革社会的思想。
Chen Shaobai is one of Sun Yat-sen’s close comrades and knighthoods and a pioneer of the 1911 Revolution. August 27, 1869, Chen Shaobai was born in Xinhui Waihai Township (now Jianghai Outer Space) a family of doctors. Chen Shaobai childhood, deeply influenced by his uncle Chen Mengnan. Chen Mengnan advocated that the church should get rid of foreign forces and independence. In 1873, Chen Mengnan set up a Chinese Christianity Missionary Society in Guangdong Province with the help of some Christians in Guangzhou and overseas Chinese in the Americas to open the precedent for the Chinese to run the church. At that time, Chen Mengnan brought back Western studies books from Guangzhou and Chen Shaobai put it down and initiated the idea of changing society.
