Silence The Coen brothers like to use the sound environment to enhance the image. In countless corners of the movie, the voices are unobtrusive background sounds, crackles from tapes, or the silence of a virtual movie. This tactic clearly reveals their attitude towards the movie: Forcing the audience to raise their ears and hold their breath in the story told by the movie so that they can become one with the movie characters. Just seconds after the opening of the Blood Labyrinth, the whispers in the cinema subsided to create a dull environment that matched the mood of the film - a slow, mesmerizing Gothic horror film.
