60年代初出生的万捷,在1980年参加高考时就以独特的目光选择了当时并不为多数人瞩目的北京印刷学院印刷机械专业。在取得学士学位后,万捷又把目光转向了印刷技术已发展得十分精良并以管理严格著称的日本,且很快作出东渡决定。在日本株式会社阳光社和日本富士精版两家公司接受严格的印刷技术和经营管理方面的专业培训。 1993年,创办深圳雅昌彩色印刷有限公司。 1995年,在母校北京印刷学院设立“雅昌奖学金”与“雅昌奖教金”。 1997年,荣获中国印刷技术协会授予的中国印刷界最高奖“森泽信夫奖”一等奖。 2001年1月,雅昌在短短4天时间里,成功印制了《北京2008年奥运会申办报告》,受到了北京奥申委领导的高度评价。 2002年1月,雅昌印制了高难度的《上海2010年世界博览会申办报告》,再一次备受瞩目。 2002年5月,位于首都机场天竺工业区的“北京雅昌彩印大厦”正式开工兴建。

In January 2001, YaChang successfully printed the “Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Report” in just 4 days and was highly praised by the Beijing Olympic Committee. In January 2002, Ya Chang printed the difficult “Shanghai World Expo 2010 Bid Report”, once again attracting much attention. May 2002, located in the Tianzhu Capital Airport Airport Industrial Zone “Beijing Ya Chang color printing ” was officially started construction.
