Researchers at the University of British Columbia have discovered a new way of making energy storage materials, the light sources of which are common in hardware stores. Researchers hope to find a good way to make coatings that allow the surface of the material to be electrically conductive or to convert electricity to hydrogen fuel. Often, these coatings are developed under extreme conditions using expensive tools and materials. But researchers have developed technologies that allow them to use consumer-grade heater lamps and get the same results.
