中国梅花品种分类管理信息系统系以《中国梅花品种图志》为主要资料,以计算机为工具,运用数学方法,对有关梅花品种的文字及图像等资料进行存储、分类、检索、评判,达到为梅花的育种、栽培、评选、应用迅速提供准确,详实资料的目的.由于在研制过程中采用跨学科综合研究的方法,首先解决了对梅花品种性状描述的数量化问题,进一步解决了应用计算机对梅花品种进行二元分类、模糊评判等问题,因而该系统能突破传统的资料管理模式,具有动态跟踪、自动分析、高速高效等特点,而且软件质量高,数据准确,结果可靠,使用方便又易于推广.这将使我国梅花资源的管理工作深受其益,有利于对梅花品种的保护、开发、利用,同时也提供了进行国际交流的新手段.
