Bone marrow is a source of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells that produce all blood cell components such as granulocytes, red blood cells, and lymphocytes. People generally use more mouse bone marrow stem cells, maintain their growth and differentiation in the medium for several weeks to study hematopoietic pathway and regulatory mechanisms. In vitro, primitive cells have been able to differentiate into granulocytes, megakaryocytes and erythrocytes, but no differentiation of murine bone marrow cells into lymphocytes has been observed.
