对于邵雍《观物内篇》所述先天易学“元会运世”之数的演算关系及其意义,学界尚缺乏较为准确的阐释。而根据《观物内篇》的文本内证及宋人张行成的解读,我们可以看到,“元会运世”交错而成的从“元之元”到“世之世”的十六数实际上表达的是以大小不同的计时单位对同一“元”之时间跨度的换算。此种换算作为数量抵当关系,又象征着对应于“元会运世”的“皇帝王霸”之治道就其可持续性而言的价值等次划分,从而使“元会运世”之数具备了纪年功能之外的价值意涵。
