以广占63S-2为母本,以P88S为父本杂交,经过5 a 8代系谱选择,育成了育性稳定,败育彻底,育性转换临界温度较低(23.5℃).株叶形态好,穗大粒多,抗性较好,米质优,配合力高,异交结实率高的光温敏不育系紫广8S,2009年通过江西省农作物品种审定委员会审定.
