In the rubber tree cultivation, fertilization is a recognized means. However, the best growth and yield can only be achieved by balancing the nutrients of the gum tree through fertilization; blindly fertilizing is of no avail. In any case, an effective diagnosis of the need for a fertilizer should include the following five aspects of soils and plants: (a) Correct soil classification. (b) Results of fertilizer tests. (c) Fertilization history and site environment. (d) Soil nutrient status. (e) Leaf nutrient status. Only discuss the last aspect here.
