随着人口老龄化进程的加快老年人对医疗服务的需求不断增加。然而农村老人是社会弱势群体中的弱势人群,在医疗方面存在着有病难就医等问题。农村老人医疗救助制度不健全主要是由以下因素影响的,如五保制度、合作医疗制度覆盖面和保障水平低、社会救助制度资金不能足额到位等所导致。对此我们应努力缩小农村老人应保未保比率,通过建立农村老人医疗救助专项基金、实行大病补助、整顿药品市场、普及医疗保健常识、加强特困老人医疗保健服务等措施,保障农村老人的基本医疗需求,促进其健康状况的改善。
