广场民间舞蹈是民间舞蹈艺术中“最大的,最古老的,最有代表性的一个大子系统”,①它所体现的美学特色既从属于民间舞蹈这个大系统。又有着其独特的不可替代之形态。前不久,在昆明举行的我国首届广场民间舞蹈会演是我国民族艺术精品的大荟萃,来自全国13个省、自治区的十四个代表队的精彩表演,在春城掀起了歌舞的狂潮。无论是汉族的《伞秧歌》、《鳖鼓》, The folk dance in the square is the largest, the oldest and the most representative one in the art of folk dance.
