石英晶体振荡器虽然稳定,但是一般认为高频振荡困难。然而最近通过利用晶体表面传播的表面弹性波,即使是使用石英晶体也可望获得数千兆赫的振荡器,这就改变了原来对晶体振荡器的看法。晶体振荡器及其极限振荡器在无线电通信中当然少不了,即使在使用电子测量仪器时,作为信号发生源也是必须的,现在根据各种应用目的研究
Quartz crystal oscillator although stable, but generally considered high-frequency oscillation difficult. Recently, however, the use of the surface acoustic wave propagating on the crystal surface has made it impossible to obtain a multi-gigahertz oscillator even with quartz crystals, thus changing the original view of the crystal oscillator. Crystal oscillators and their limit oscillators are of course indispensable in radio communications and are essential as signal generators even when using electronic measuring instruments and are now being investigated for various applications
