The microwave protection and absorbing of paint materials are important research topics in the aviation industry.Presently the main material is the nano ferrite powder, which is known to be heavy and has the maintenance problem.Therefore many researchers attempt to find new materials to replace this.Because the expandable graphite (EG) offers a function of microwave protection and could be employed in the aerospace industry with carbon fibers.It can be mixed in between the epoxy and carbon fibers for improving absorbing efficiency.
