Tri-trophic interactions between plants,their insect herbivores and parasitoids of the insect herbivores have received much research attention and are increasingly well understood.Corresponding interactions between plants,insect herbivores and their arthropod predators are less well characterized.Populations of the diamondback moth(Plutella xylostella L(Lepidoptera: Plutellidae),a serious pest of Brassica crops,can be suppressed by arthropod predators.
