In the recent decades, one of the most important developments of the world economy is the increased trade of manufactured goods between the developed(the global “North”)and developing countries(the global “South”).A number of newly industrialized countries in East and Southeast Asia have achieved phenomenal growth by exporting manufactured goods.Asian economy, though in general is rising and some of the states have achieved significant progress in economic development,at the same time it is also true that the main base of the economy i.e.the labor force are not getting as per their requirement.According to the ILO flagship report on World Employment and Social Outlook: Trends 2018,the fast growing employment cannot ensure the decent work, rather informality is a threat for future productivity. As the labor studies are comparatively a new concept, there is insufficient academic research on how rising economies might influence the governance of universal labor and environmental standards. It is true that in the era of globalization, interaction among the states on mutual issues is the core of economic growth. While we embrace the goal of improving the wages and working conditions of workers in poor countries,we take the position that attaching labor standards to the WTO and trade agreements will not achieve this goal, nor will it have the desired effect of keeping more jobs in the industrialized countries. At the same time,ILO,after its establishment in 1919,though have developed significant numbers of labor right laws, has become irrelevant due to lack of enforcement mechanisms. It is also surprising to observe that there is lack of international mechanisms to oversee international trade and labor issue.Though trade is enhancing and international economy is boosting now a day and as a result many of the developing countries are having remarkable economic growth, the labor abuse is a regular phenomenon. The real development of humankind cannot be justified leaving the workers interest unaddressed.
