预应力混凝土简支梁具有预制安装方便、能适应较大地基沉降等优点,但适宜经济跨径较小。对于像郑州黄河公路大桥这样的长桥(全长5549.86米),若每跨设置伸缩缝,不仅缝多影响行车舒适,而且养护工作量也大。郑州黄河大桥跨径有50、40及20米三种,共计137孔。设计中采用了桥面连续的构造措施,全桥共计25联,联长为(5×50)米或(6×40)米,大大减少了伸缩缝数目。1986年10月1日建成通车,通车初期曾对桥面连续结构及伸缩缝工作状态进行过实地观测。1988年5月进行了振动测试。至今经过三年的行车考验,连续缝情况良好,表面平整,证明是成功的。
