According to a Portuguese newspaper, the leader of an extremely pro-nationalist party in Romania declared that he would adopt about 70,000 stray dogs that are the victims of Bucharest. It is believed that 20,000 stray dogs were attacked by residents in Bucharest last year. The local government also disregarded the protests of several animal protection associations and cleaned the stray dogs since last month. However, Kenegaili Vadim Tudor, leader of the Romanian main right-wing Romanian party, said he plans to build a 20,000-square-foot shelter for these stray dogs outside the city. The land needed is “a rich man” to give him. In an interview with the Portuguese newspaper, Tudor said: “I like dogs, raising 17 at home.”
