Bemisia tabaci B-type B is a dangerous agricultural pest widely spread in the world and has outstanding performance in pesticide resistance and host utilization. It causes serious harm to global agriculture including vegetables, fruit trees, garden plants and various cash crops every year. It is generally considered that the host adaptability of B. tabaci is related to the exuberant detoxification enzyme in the body. In this paper, carboxylesterase was investigated in this study. Two populations of B.tabaci were fed on the background of cucumber and bitter gourd, The activity level of carboxylesterase on the same 13 new host plants showed that the average level of enzyme activity on the new host in the group fed on the bitter gourd was significantly higher than that on the group fed on the cucumber, Litter feeding experience can produce physiological changes in the short term to facilitate adaptation to B. tabaci host utilization. That is, the higher levels of detoxification enzyme activity induced by host plants can be maintained and used for subsequent exploration of new host resources.
