PVC membrane sodium ion selective electrode has been made with triglyco-diandibenzyl amine as the active material. This article describes the use of magnesium salt as ionic strength adjustment buffer (ISAB), the electrode standard comparison method for the determination of sodium in water. This method is suitable for high sodium and magnesium water samples.
