The 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China established Deng Xiaoping Theory as the guiding ideology of the entire party. This is a historical decision made by our party in summing up the successful practice of China’s reform and opening up and the socialist modernization over the past 20 years. After reviewing the history of reform and opening up, why has our modernization accomplished the remarkable achievements in the world? Why can China withstand the test of change in the international arena and why our socialist cause, including science and technology, can flourish and demonstrate its vitality?
