今年是中国人民抗日战争和世界人民反法西斯战争胜利四十周年。四十年前,在同盟国军队和世界人民的猛烈打击下,法西斯德国和日本先后崩溃,宣布无条件投降。为彻底消灭法西斯和军国主义势力、清算战争罪犯对各国人民犯下的滔天罪行、伸张正义和人道、维护世界和平,同盟国分别在德国纽伦堡和日本东京开设了国际军事法庭。
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the people of the world in the anti-Fascist war. Forty years ago, under drastic blows by the Allied forces and the peoples of the world, Fascist Germany and Japan collapsed and declared an unconditional surrender. In order to completely eliminate the forces of fascism and militarism, liquidate the heinous crimes committed by war criminals against the people of all countries, carry out justice and humanity and safeguard world peace, the allies have opened international military tribunals in Nuremberg, Germany and Tokyo, Japan respectively.
