Mathematical and statistical methods play an extremely important role in promoting the development of aquatic resources. The application of mathematical statistics in China’s aquatic resources started in the 1950s and developed from the 1960s to the 1980s and entered a completely new stage of development after the 1990s. As a developing country, we will face more opportunities and challenges than the rest of the world
